OSI's duty is to bring together students in optometry in order to raise awareness about the ideal of full-dispensing independent and doctor-owned optometry and to inform them about the important resources offered by Canada's Largest Network of Optometrists.
OSI's goal is to support students in their efforts to constitute their heritage by owning their clinic rather than contributing to building someone else's clinic, in chain stores or big box stores.
OSI's transition program and the events organized by OSI throughout the year are useful tools that can help you in planning your career as an independent optometrists.
