Optometric Services Inc. (OSI), Canada's Largest Network of Optometrists gathers more than 1,500 Optometrists in approximately 750 clinics across Canada.
 
OSI is a privately owned, fully independent corporation with its member Optometrists as sole shareholders.

MISSION

Our Mission

OSI’s mandate to its members is to contribute to, and reinforce, the professional status of Optometrists by providing them the industry's lowest costs for merchandise and/or services.  OSI also aims to offer services and tools to assist with the management of revenues and expenses, comparable or most of the time superior, to competitors such as chains and big box stores.


Our Service Strategy And Core Competencies

OSI’s service strategy is to offer member Optometry clinics specialized services, most of which would be too costly to do in-house or to outsource, even for very large clinics to compete with corporate entities while remaining independent.


Some of the core competencies that OSI developed and continues to improve include:

  • Negotiating with suppliers to get the best prices for OSI clinics' patients;
  • Developing and supporting a clinic management software;
  • Monitoring the optical industry;
  • Marketing and advertising projects for independent optometry clinics;
  • Training Optometrists and staff in clinic management, sales of quality products and customer service;
  • Strongly insert the internet (Web) in the communications between OSI clinics and their patients;
  • Helping finance optometric equipment, through our Opto Finance subsidiary;
  • Developing quality safety eyewear through our Securo Vision subsidiary;
  • Managing a banner of independent clinics, through our Opto-Plus subsidiary.
