Optometric Services Inc. (OSI), Canada's Largest Network of Optometrists unites more than 1 800 Optometrists in over 775 clinics across Canada.

OSI is a privately owned, fully independent corporation with its member Optometrists as sole shareholders. We are the only Optometry group in Canada for which 100% truly belong to its member clinics.

MISSION

Our Mission

OSI’s mandate to its members is to contribute to and reinforce the Optometrists’ professional status by providing the industry's lowest prices for merchandise and/or services. OSI also aims to offer services and tools in order to assist with managing revenues and expenses. These services are comparable to, or most of the time superior to, our competitors such as chains and big box stores. 


Our Service Strategy And Core Competencies

OSI’s service strategy is to provide specialized services to its member Optometry clinics. Most of these services would be too costly for even very large clinics to develop internally or outsource. These services become much more affordable in a group setting allowing clinics to compete with corporate entities while remaining independent.


Some of the core competencies that OSI developed and continues to improve include:

  • Negotiating with suppliers in order to obtain the best prices for OSI clinics' patients;
  • Developing and supporting a clinic management software;
  • Strategically monitoring the optical industry;
  • Marketing and advertising projects for independent optometry clinics;
  • In clinic management, selling quality products and customer service training sessions for Optometrists and staff;
  • Strongly recommending the internet (Web) in all communications between OSI clinics and their patients;
  • Helping finance optometric equipment through our Opto Finance subsidiary;
  • Developing quality safety eyewear through our Securo Vision subsidiary; and
  • Managing a banner of independent clinics, through our Opto-Plus subsidiary.
