Huron Shores Optometry

Dr. Robin Thiel graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo in 1987. She then completed her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1991, also from the University of Waterloo. Dr. Thiel has been a proud member of CAO and OAO for 33 years and is TPA certified.

Robin fell in love with Lake Huron while spending summers at a cottage in Sauble Beach as a child. She moved to Kincardine immediately after graduation where she began practicing alongside Dr. William Pym in both the Kincardine and Port Elgin offices.

Aside from her professional life, Robin can be found in the gym or walking the beach in the early morning hours. She has raised and son and daughter in kincardine while taking advantage of beach life,  Great Lake sailing, hockey and skiing opportunities. Both of her children attended the University of Waterloo and are actively pursuing their careers.

Dr. Christina Pym was born and raised in Kincardine. She received her Honours B.Sc at the University of Guelph and earned her Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.

Christina is proud to be following in her uncle's footsteps providing eye care to the same community she grew up with.

When not seeing patients, Christina is busy with her daughter and family .

Dr. Sarah Zammit earned her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 2016. She received the Ontario Association of Optometrists Award for Excellence in Patient Management.

During the first part of her career she has served patients in Cambridge, Kitchener and surrounding areas alongside distinguished optometrists and ophthalmologists. While working with ophthalmology, Dr. Zammit refined her ocular health skills as she co-managed ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, cataracts, dry eye, and pre/post refractive surgery care.In private practice she enjoys caring for patients of all ages and needs.

Dr. Zammit and her family have always enjoyed the beautiful shores of Lake Huron and are now pleased to call Bruce County home.
