At Dr. van der Zalm & Associates we provide thorough, high quality eye examinations in Dunnville, Ontario. Our doctors take pride in serving our community with excellent eye care.
Along with providing routine eye exams for those of all ages, we also provide care for ocular emergencies. Our doctors have a special interest and are well trained in managing ocular diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, cataract, ocular infections, and complications associated with diabetes. Our state of the art equipment can help our doctors detect ocular health changes sooner, which may allow for earlier management and intervention. Our office is equipped with the Topcon Maestro-2 OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) and the Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer.

Dr Jordan Van Der Zalm
Optometrist & Owner
Dr. van der Zalm graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2017 on the Dean’s Honour List. Prior to Optometry school, Dr. van der Zalm completed his undergraduate Honours Science degree in Biology at McMaster University. During his final year of optometric studies, Dr. van der Zalm completed several clinical externships in both Canada and the United States. Included in those studies was an externship at John D Dingell VA Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he received extensive exposure to the diagnosis and management of various ocular disease. He is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO), registered with College of Optometrists of Ontario (COO) and is Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (TPA) certified. Dr. van der Zalm purchased the Dunnville eye clinic in 2020 from Dr. Seddon and is keen to continue providing high quality eye care in Dunnville. Away from the office, Dr. van der Zalm enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and 3 children.

Dr Eric Roth
Optometrist
Dr. Eric Roth graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in 2016 and received his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in 2020. During this time, he completed externships in Burlington, Ontario and Clarenville, Newfoundland and has developed an interest in treating ocular disease, dry eye, and specialty contact lenses. He is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO), registered with College of Optometrists of Ontario (COO) and is Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (TPA) certified. Dr. Roth was born and raised in Vaughan, Ontario. Outside of the clinic, he is a passionate Raptors fan and enjoys playing sports including basketball, hockey, and tennis. He likes hiking, canoeing, and camping and is particularly fond of Gros Morne National Park. Dr. Roth is excited to care for your eyes!

Dr Gregg Seddon
Optometrist
Dr. Seddon has practiced Optometry for over 30 years and has extensive knowledge in ocular disease diagnosis and management. He has been a part of the Dunnville community for most of his Optometry career. Dr. Seddon will be retiring from the practice in March 2024 and will always be remembered as a caring and compassionate caregiver to all of his patients. During his spare time he enjoys sailing, skiing, camping and spending time with his wife.
