Bright Eye Care

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Dr. Kaler graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She then studied Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. She has been practicing Optometry since 2009. Dr. Kaler can provide eye exams in English, Punjabi or Hindi.  When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She especially loves watching her boys play hockey and soccer. She also loves reality tv and dining out with friends and family.

Jered was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Sciences Honours Degree prior to completing his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in 2007. Dr. Oliver began his optometry career working at Hakim Optical and is thrilled to open Bright Eye Care with his longtime colleague and friend, Dr. Kaler, where they can place more focus on patient care.

In his spare time, Dr. Oliver enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, traveling, attending live concerts and reading short biographies of local professionals. (We have so much in common!)

John is one of our licensed opticians who has experience in the optical industry for almost a decade. His knowledge in optics and frame selection helps our clients meet their needs. John believes that glasses don't only have to be functional; they can be fashionable too! John is also fluent in Tagalog. Outside business hours, John likes to spend time with family and friends, try out local restaurants, and search for the best Moscow Mule in the city. 

Ceara was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is dual licensed as an Optician and Contact Lens Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the optical industry. She graduated at the top of her class, and received acknowledgement for achieving the highest mark across Canada for her Contact Lens Course. Ceara takes great pride in problem solving and finding her clients the perfect solution for their visual needs.
In her leisure time, Ceara enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. During the summer months, she and her family enjoy spending as much time as they can up at the lake, where they have their trailer. She has a passion for baking, especially around the holiday season; and is a HUGE softy for all animals… especially cats!

Mykenna completed the Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant program in 2022 and has now been working in the optical industry for over 4 years. Mykenna is currently a Student Optician and is eager to continue her education and experience to best serve our patients. In her free time, Mykenna enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, sewing, and crocheting.
