Estevan Optometry Clinic

Optometry has been part of my life from my early years. My grandfather and father were both eye doctors in Egypt and the UK. My father encouraged me to study Optometry at university and, as promised, it has been a wonderful career for me. It has taken me on lots of smashing adventures to meet all sorts of interesting people. Several times I checked eyes in remote village areas and schools in Uganda (we were guarded by a man with a bow and arrow and received a drum and dance welcome from the village chief). 

I also received a fantastic welcome from the community of St. Anthony, Newfoundland, and still miss all the staff and community of Grenfell Hospital that serves Labrador. I learned to cross-country ski and drive a skidoo there.

This spring, I am honoured to be part of a team of health care workers taking part in the North Island Children's Fair to screen kids for health issues. Thank you, Helicopters Without Borders.
