Our practice has been located at 200 Division Street (corner of Queen and Division) since 1988 and is the longest established optometry practice in Cobourg. We perform complete eye exams which not only assess your vision, but which also assess the health of your entire eye. A thorough and comprehensive eye exam is an important part of your overall health.
The Lakefront Optometry office is located in the Taunton Block at the corner of Queen and Division Street with the entrance on Queen Street. Parking is available behind the building off Queen Street, in front of the office, or at the public parking lot across from the post office at the corner of Queen and McGill Streets. A wheelchair ramp is available. Please call ahead if needed, so we can put it in place.
We collect donations for local charities as well as used glasses for the Lions Club.

Dr. Kerri Winger
Optometrist
Dr. Kerri Winger graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2009 following the completion of her Honours Bachelor of Science degree. She completed an externship in ocular disease and therapeutics at the John Dingall Veterans Medical Centre in Detroit, Michigan. This gave her valuable experience caring for patients with a wide range of ocular diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disorders. Dr. Winger joined the practice in 2010 and became a partner in 2016. She is a member of both the Ontario and Canadian Association of Optometrists. She grew up in Stratford, Ontario and moved to Cobourg soon after graduation. She practices full-scope optometry and welcomes new and returning patients of all ages. She enjoys disc golf, crafting and spending time with her husband and children.

Optometrist
Dr. Melissa Herrmann grew up in Sunderland, Ontario. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Waterloo in 2016. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry from Salus University’s Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2020. Dr. Herrmann’s training included rotations at the University of Maryland Eye Associates and The Eye Institute’s Pediatric and Binocular Vision Service, as well as clinics throughout Ontario, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. Dr. Herrmann enjoys knitting, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
