Dr. Basel Wahib
Optometrist
Dr. Basel Wahib was born and raised in Damascus, Syria and moved with his family to Kitchener in 2006. After completing his Bachelor of Science with Honours at the University of Waterloo, Dr. Wahib attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. Upon graduation, Dr. Wahib decided to move back to Canada and use the skills he acquired to benefit the Kitchener-Waterloo region community. Dr. Wahib is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and The Canadian Association of Optometrists.

Optometric Assistant
Samantha is an optometric assistant who has been working in the eye care field since she graduated from University with a bachelor’s in psychology. Her work in the eye care field started in clinical research in ophthalmology to becoming a clinical technician for both optometrists and ophthalmologists. Her experience working at TLC laser eye center in Waterloo and other optometric offices have prepared Samantha for her role at Eye Matter.
