THE ROYAL LONDON EXPERIENCE COMES TO SOUTH SURREY, BC

Originally hailing from Britain, Dr. Gurjeet Bains has been a South Surrey resident for the past decade. In 2017, Dr. Gurjeet Bains opened Royal London Optometry and Eyewear Boutique in South Surrey, BC. This office is the perfect intersection of European fashion, culture, architecture & technology, offering their patients a unique selection of the world’s best eyewear.

This includes head-turning eyewear from boutique labels such as Gold & Wood, Dita, Theo, Anne & Valentin and Vinylize as well as many eco-friendly and vegan frame suppliers. She takes pride in ensuring that her patients’ glasses and sunglasses are always unique!

In fact, the entire eyecare and eyewear shopping experience is breathtakingly unique. The frames are displayed in antique furniture carved from century old British reclaimed wood; on sleek frame rods from Germany and antique mirrors, all to create the Royal London experience! Her design inspiration? A heritage home in London that she had lived in, as well as her mum’s gold-plated high-quality glasses from the 1960’s.

Royal London Optometry also offers holistic eyecare integrating nutrition and healthy lifestyle to ensure optimal vision, as well as exciting new technology to deliver outstanding eyecare. Her investment in technology includes the Optosys practice management software. Dr. Bains finds the e-booking module useful for attracting new patients and her existing patients like the convenience of being able to book an eye exam with her 24/7. Some of her other favourite Optosys features include the ability to link pre-screening equipment with the EMR, the option to email clients their Rx directly from the software, integrated Telus claims direct billing, customisable Rx forms and the free text search option.

Above all else, Dr. Bains believes in delivering good old-fashioned warm & sincere customer service. That means listening more carefully, empathising with patient’s issues, passing on the wealth of her knowledge and delighting patients with the best service possible.

“The most rewarding part of my job, is seeing the familiar faces come into the exam room each year and being able to help maintain great eye health and vision,”
says Dr. Bains.
